We are one lucky bunch...don't you think?! We have a President w. swag and a First Lady w. style. When I saw Michelle earlier today at the inauguration I was soo blown away. She has always been one to deliver on the style front but today's look was different, she wow'd me, from the lemongrass dress to the matching coat and green leather gloves. I was in love.

I've read several articles and as expected, everyone has their own opinion. Some, like myself loved it because it's in no way traditional and many others disliked it for that same reason. I don't think there's anything wrong with Michelle's bold sense of style. Just because all of the past First Ladies wore the traditional career suit in an array of solid colors doesn't mean that it should apply to all. Her looks are fun and simply express her personality. Yea, her position is serious but her wardrobe doesn't have to be.

This is a time for change and she clearly gets that. Though Michelle's colors are bold, her fits' are always very taseful. She looked absolutely stunning in her Isabel Toledo ensemble.

I remember a time when there would be no cool in mixing prints. Now, to do so is to be trendy, stylish, etc. [I can dig it...I guess] I like this look more for an editorial shoot than I do for an everyday get-up. I would keep the skirt with the dotted shirt but I'd change the jacket she has over it. Idk if it's the light colors or the stripes that I can't get with...either way...It's doing nada for me. I think it'd be better if it was a bit darker. I think there's way too much white for the rest of the fit'.

Umm I like my eyes just fine...thx.

The movie was out for weeks before I got the chance to see it so, one Monday when I had nothing to do...I decided to treat myself.

Some may disagree but I thought the movie was great. This scene in particular dug me out of the same situation that she's singing about. I remember watching this scene and seeing myself in Bey's character...I felt as if I sang that same song. I know I did & I know he heard me...I had to get over it.

How many of you guys dig the trendy "fur vest"?

I personally love it, when done right. I think the chick above has the best one that I've seen thus far. You can clearly see that her fit' was rather plane jane...but the added vest gives it a whole nother' look. The color combo is amazing.

Today's Look of the Day goes to designer Rachel Roy and her pretty daughter Ava Dash.

I've always been a fan of Rachel Roy due to her great style. I'm not sure how much of a say lil' Ava has when it comes to her wardrobe but I'm loving the outfit. I'm really into sequins and I love totes, especially when they're designed by THE KING, also known as Marc Jacobs. She's such a lady, always carrying a bag whenever I see her & kills me because although heavily into fashion, @ her age...everything went into my pocket. lol...a bag? please!

This wasn't too far back but on this particular night me and my girls attended an event for Harper's Bazaar which was held at DVF's West Village store. It was a great experience. We went there to of course network and wound up meeting great people. We met Diane [as you can see from the pic above] Daniel, who is a wardrobe stylist in LA/hottie and we also met Avril Graham, a fashion and beauty editor at Harper's Bazaar with whom we talked fashion. :)

It was a wonderful night!

Usually when I see Teyana her look is either giving me too much or it's not giving enough.

I love this look, which was worn to the premier of Notorious: The life and death story of Christopher Wallace.

I'm from Brooklyn so a pair of timbs w. a leather jacket isn't necessarily groundbreaking, I see it allll the time. Teyana, however, threw in a little flavor. I can't really see the bag but from the chain, I'd say it's CHANEL and that alone makes a distinction.

I think I really chose this look because it's so ME. I'm all for a dope heel but I'd wear this outfit in a minute. It's cute and relaxed and my aim is to be comfortable, no matter what i wear.

Okay so it's like this...

In approximately 18 days I'll be 22 y.o. [:) hold your applause]

Unfortunately...this year is no different from any of the previous years because as always...

I HAVE ZERO PLANS!

& it's starting to piss me off lol.

Last year I went to 4040 for dinner and drinks and then I headed to Spy [I had fun but it was nothing worth writing home to mom about]

Partying isn't something that I do on the reg. I've been to 3 clubs last year, so you know...I don't really hang much...however if I have my girls and the venue is sexy..I'm not opposed.

However, I know nada about the hotspots being that I don't hit the streets much.

Any suggestions?

Secondly, going to a club is cute but I would love for it to NOT be the highlight of my bday.

I just don't see anything groundbreaking about it.

Any other suggestions?

& I'm gonna need for me to start planning a yr. in advance because it's getting quite ridiculous lol. Hopefully next year I'll be in a maxi, walking down a beach somewhere in the caribbean. [I need bdays like that in my life]

Is It Just Me?

Have you ever made a decision that you knew in your heart was right but couldn't help but to feel sick about it [as if you were making a big mistake]?

I'm sort of going through that as we speak. I know for a fact that I'm on the right path because for a while I've been given many reasons to believe so. Don't you hate when the truth is so ugly?! You don't even want to look at it but the more you fight it, the worst it gets.

How do we feel about this?

I found this bomber [Miu Miu-$3,135] on Elle.com and as you've guessed...I'm loving it. Sequins are actually one of the biggest trends for Spring 09' and though I try not to be in the mix, following trends., this is one that I'd probably add to my closet.

It's so funny because although I like it, it'd be very easy for this piece to make an outfit go soo wrong but as I usually suggest...When wearing over the top pieces..you must keep everything else simple. No exaggeration of prints...be easy w. colors and let the jacket do it's thing.
