Welcome to Heartbreak is a dope song but the video is pretty crazy. I've never heard anything about Ray Tintori prior to this video. I watched a video that he directed for Chairlift a few minutes ago and I'm very interested in knowing how the heck he's doing it. I've seen great work by many video directors but nothing as bomb as this.

I'm writing this w. one eye open. [grrrr]

I swear, I could kill Optimum cable right now. {& you can tell em' I said it...ioncare! lol}

I'm in my bed..completely [ZzZzZz'd]..when I'm awakened by the sound of someone pressing my annoying a** doorbell over & over & over. [ugh!] I ignored it once, I'm saying it's 8:30 am. I don't need to see ANYONE that early in the morning, so I'm thinking to myself: Someone made a mistake. The only person coming to see me, was Optimum Cable but @ 5:30...PM.

HA!

I ran off of my bed after peeking through my blinds at the fooly who was soo rudely disturbing the peace....and you won't believe who's on the other side

OPTIMUM DAMN CABLE.

I mean..they fixed the problem but... REALLY?! why make an appt. if your going to come when you please? I hadn't even brushed my teeth yet. I had to jump str8 out of my bed & run to the door before they left for allll of eternity. & then what if I hadn't been home? My mother would be sure to ruin someone's day/night because she was definitely going ape shit!

So Now...my sleep account is showing -2 hrs, which I am in dire need of. BUT! will not see until later on tonight when I'm struggling to stay up for w.e. it is that I plan to do because there's no way I'm gonna go back to sleep now.

• && I'm finding myself UUUBER excited that I can now sit back [pillow up] with my LAP-top on my freaking lap. I swear I was suffering from the most horrible back pains because this BRAIN from Optimum didn't give me enough cord for my DSL [& refused to do so..when I complained] so I was forced to sit at the foot of my bed [hunched over!]

sigh.

During times like this, if you aren't wealthy or consistent w. saving, money is more than likely a big issue. I'm neither, so at times I'm often frustrated when I go into a store and don't have the means to just buy w.e. it is that I want. [soo sucky!]

Saving is something that I've been working on and feel that I'm getting better at. I mean, for someone who loves clothes, and loves to shop I think it's quite imperative.

I've been into revamping pieces in my closet that I knew I'd probably never wear again [since forever] and that helps alot when you need a new top or want to spruce up the bottom half of your wardrobe.

The picture above inspired me in a great way and reminded me that I don't need to run into a boutique for every outing. Her skirt is made out of newspaper! & although I don't see myself ever walking out with a paper skirt...the point is to think creative and save the cash for the big splurges that I simply can't live w.o. [I'll love myself later]

Several DIY techniques that I often use are very simple...

Whenever I'm pretty much over a shirt or sweater, I'll slit the sleeve at the shoulder, cuttin it down to the center of where your arm-pit and chest meet. The look is simple but a little shoulder almost always adds a bit of 'sexy'.

If you're tired of your plain blue jeans, distress them.
I rememer having a pair of black jeans from LTB that fit me to a T. Unfortunately, some BRAIN washed them and they of course faded. [ugh] I didn't know what to do...I thought to get them dyed but didn't feel like it so I simply cut them into short shorts...twisted them [as if I were ringing them out] tied them in about four sections w. shoe lace and let it sit in bleach.

The color of the bleached part was a lil peachy so I had an idea, which led me to boiling a big pot of hot water and adding passion fruit flavored TAZO tea [that I got from SBUX]. The water was a deep burgundy, so I sat the shorts inside over night and voila! The lines were bugundy-ish as well w. a hint of the original peachy color.

My mother simply shook her head and honestly, it all started from boredom but the point is, I saved some mulah...lost a pair of black jeans [which was cool cuz' summer was right around the corner] and gained a sweet pair of home made tie-dye shorts.

Experiment Dos: I'm a scarf collector. I love em. American Apparel has a circle scarf which I thought was soo dope the first time I saw it but the price didn't rub me right. The scarf is a long piece of material that's simply tied together...for 30+ bills? [NEVs!] I have tons of scarves dying for attention in my closet and honestly, once I connected the ends of a [pink,grey&black] scarf that I have...I had the same thing, but better. & it cost me a measly $9.00.

So...keep in mind

Although our economy happens to be undergoing a drastic change, it doesn't have to be a negative one. [It is, what you make it]

Change is good, especially when it's in your pockets, so make the most of your cents.

So...There's This Girl

It seems as if he’s waiting for her to make that move.

…because words and actions just aren’t adding up.

Words, that are meant to reassure her that everything is still the same.

She hasn’t closed her eyes since day one so when the calls weren’t as frequent as they once were, she noticed.

When the text replies took over 2 hrs…she noticed.

Talks about their next outing became a non-occurrence and that amongst other things didn’t go unnoticed.

She knew what was approaching before it knocked.

It’s still knocking..

& with slight anxiety she hesitates to let it in.

She wonders about the result of the current situation and speaks inside of her head “had I refrained from opening the door of myself …would the result be even remotely the same?”

..naan of course not…she concludes. & w. no regrets toward past happenings, she shakes away the “what if”.

-heart…[heart?]…check! [it’s imperative that she store it away, for she is incapable of controlling the feelings which are produced. It is unselfish and generously loves but everyone doesn’t deserve a beat.]

I truly believe that one should be treated how he/she treats others, but when I'm nastily handled I tend to soften up once the shit is reciprocated. I start to feel bad and I think that makes me an easy target..no?

Okay Guys, say hello to my latest inspirator. Her name is Adeline Rapon [Paris] and as you can see, I found her on lookbook.nu. I tend to frequent that site for style inspirations and to find creative folks to throw on the blog.

When I spotted this picture I was instantly sold. Amongst my friends, I am known to be a bit creative. I'm usually the one cutting up clothes, I wear my leg-warmers as arm-warmers when I'm wearing a 3/4 get-up, etc. So when I saw that miss Adeline had on a long-sleeve button-down as a skirt...I was blown. Who does that? & it looks sooo cute. Had I not eye-balled the way she wrapped the sleeves around her waist, I'dve surely missed it.

Disturbia Love

Im tryna avoid this kind of love at all costs.
I understand some ppl get upset and can't control themselves, but beating me up? I would need for that to NOT go down. Chris is human and yea, we all make mistakes but it's kind of hard to accept when you truly don't expect stuff like this from someone. Yesterday's weather was beautiful, dinner at Cafeteria was great but I wasn't too excited about this year's Grammy Awards Ceremony. I missed about 30 minutes of it but what I'm usually glued to the tele and last night I was def. not.

There were many cute looks that I caught last night and all of them aren't posted but here's a few that I thought were cute.

I just love Solange and her style. I won't say that her look was BANANAS but cute nonetheless...I'm simply in love w. the bag.

Vanessa and Angela Simmons have great style as well but I can't say that I love Angela's look. However, I am really feeling what Vanessa is wearing. I love the bright yellow chiffon w. the nude shoe. The only thing I would've done differently is the belt. I don't really like it w. her choice of shoe. [idk..I'm going back and forth. I look at it and it's okay then I look again and I'm like naaan]

I wanted to get a front view of this dress but I got tired of looking. & it's okay...because her side profile is equally banging. I never really see Kim K. looking a mess, so when I saw this I wasn't too surprised....Her dress is SWEET.

..But, I have to give the award to Ms. Kate Perry. She looked soo pretty. Sooo elegant. I love the color on her. I don't think I saw anything better the whole night. [except for Hovi's performance :)]

My Yesterday...

So I went to the studio yesterday. && before you laugh…let me be clear…it was not to sing or rap.

I actually wrote a poem and recited it for an album. [TALK ABOUT NERVE-WRECKING!!] I gotta give it to myself tho… I’m getting better w. this whole shy ish because at one point I wouldn’t daaare say yes to something like this. I agreed and although I was literally shaking in my boots…we managed to get it done. I believe I had to start over about 20 times , and I’m pretty sure it was because I was nervous. I’ve read the poem over and over before actually going in to say it and it was cool but for some reason my breathing was wayyyy off. I would say it and lose my breath so fast…I just didn’t understand it.

I have a neeeew respect for artists…I swear.
